Dear you, Who's reading this letter Where are you and what are you doing now?
For me who's 15 years old There are seeds of worries I can't tell anyone
If it's a letter addressed to my future self, Surely I can confide truly to myself
Now, it seems that I'm about to be defeated and cry For someone who's seemingly about to disappear Whose words should I believe in? This one-and-only heart has been broken so many times In the midst of this pain, I live the present
Dear you, Thank you I have something to tell the 15-year-old you
If you continue asking what and where you should be going You'll be able to see the answer
The rough seas of youth may be tough But row your boat of dreams on Towards the shores of tomorrow
Now, please don't be defeated and please don't shed a tear During these times when you're seemingly about to disappear Just believe in your own voice For me as an adult, there are sleepless nights when I'm hurt But I'm living the bittersweet present
There's meaning to everything in life So build your dreams without fear Keep on believing
Seems like I'm about to be defeated and cry For someone who's seemingly about to disappear Whose words should I believe in?
Please don't be defeated and please don't shed a tear During these times when you're seemingly about to disappear Just believe in your own voice
No matter era we're in There's no running away from sorrow So show your smile, and go on living the present Go on living the present
Dear you, Who's reading this letter I wish you happiness
Proposition 1A: High-speed rail
Authorize the state to sell $9.95 billion in
bonds to help fund a $45-billion bullet train between Orange County and
the San Francisco Bay Area. Repayment would cost the state $647 million
annually for 30 years.
No. I just don't see the practicality of this expensive project. And if the main goal was to tune down pollution and people's dependence on driving, I believe that this money would be better spent within the Bay Area and the LA metro area to improve existing transportation systems.
Proposition 3: Children's hospitals
Authorize $980 million in bonds backed
by the state to fund construction, refurnishing, expansion and new
equipment at five children's hospitals at University of California
campuses and eight private, nonprofit children's hospitals.
Yes. $10 billion in bonds for a bullet train (Prop 1A) or 1/10th of that for upgrading children's hospitals? Wow gotta think carefully about this one.
Proposition 4: Abortion
Amend the state Constitution to bar
abortions by unemancipated minors until 48 hours after a physician
notifies the minor's parent or legal guardian. Permit notification to
certain adult relatives if a doctor reports the parent to law
enforcement or a child protective services agency.
Yes. They can't even go on a school field trip to the zoo without parental consent, why should minors be making this decision on their own? I don't think it makes safe abortion services unavailable to minors. It asks parents to be responsible and promote healthy family communication.
Proposition 8: Same-sex marriage
Amend the state Constitution to define marriage as only between a man and a woman.
No. If two people are in love they have a right to marriage. Don't let personal morals get in the way of basic rights. And even if we have our freedom of religion, people have the freedom from religion. I'm disgusted by the way that Yes On 8 commercials portray our schools. Children will not learn to be gay from what their teachers may or may not teach them; this is an insult to our great teachers. This proposition will not undermine the value of marriage and family.

i've been having bad dreams every night. i don't remember my previous ones but i should start writing down what i remember from the night before.
9/21 i am flying back to hong kong. for some reason i have to fly to texas first before flying to hk. maybe i didnt leave from the bay area. i got to the airport late, and by the time i've ran to the gate, the counter was empty. in fact the whole section of the airport was empty. there was this other indian guy who was late with me. he was also going to hk. i had to go online to purchase tickets for the next available flight to texas.. and the indian guy had a same goal. somehow we bought tickets but we had to race to the right gate in a different terminal.. because the flight was going to leave soon and we need to make that one and no other in order to make it in time for the transfer in texas. so we ran and ran and ran and i think i lost and i woke up. im pretty sure i know where all these ideas came from. why hong kong? i think ive been hearing too many people talking about hk. and why the indian? jola is always talking about indians in CMU. and the whole thing about racing to the next terminal? i remember i was watching the amazing race on travel channel a couple nights ago... and people had to race to make the flight.. or else they were screwed. ok enough of this dream.

I've been splurging quite a bit lately. I guess I just want to have some nice memories to be able to revisit over the 1.5 years. I've been putting off a lot of important things, but let's just indulge ourselves a bit more for the remaining two weeks
After that I'll need to become more productive with my time. It's 1.5 years for me to set up a good future for the two of us
I revisited one of my all-time favorite songs tonight. Everything will work out in due time.
I saw fireworks from the freeway
And behind closed eyes I cannot make them go away
'Cause you were born on the fourth of july, freedom ring
Now something on the surface it stings
I said something on the surface
Well it kind of makes me nervous
Who says that you deserve this
And what kind of god would serve this?
We will cure this dirty old disease
If you've got the poison I've got the remedy
The remedy is the experience.
This is a dangerous liaison
I say the comedy is that it's serious.
This is a strange enough new play on words
I say the tragedy is how you're gonna spend
The rest of your nights with the light on
So shine the light on all of your friends
When it all amounts to nothing in the end.
I won't worry my life away.
I heard two men talking on the radio
In a cross fire kind of reality show
Uncovering the ways to plan the next big attack
They were counting down the ways to stab
The brother in the be right back after this
The unavoidable kiss, where the minty fresh
Death breath is sure to outlast this catastrophy
Dance with me, because if you've got the poison,
I've got the remedy
The remedy is the experience.
This is a dangerous liaison
I say the comedy is that it's serious.
This is a strange enough new play on words
I say the tragedy is how you're gonna spend
The rest of your nights with the light on
So shine the light on all of your friends
When it all amounts to nothing in the end.
I won't worry my life away.
When I fall in love I take my time
There's no need to hurry when I'm making up my mind
You can turn off the sun but I'm still gonna shine and I'll tell you why
Because
The remedy is the experience.
This is a dangerous liaison
I say the comedy is that it's serious.
This is a strange enough new play on words
I say the tragedy is how you're gonna spend
The rest of your nights with the light on
So shine the light on all of your friends
When it all amounts to nothing in the end.
